So, it has been a while since I've posted on this blog. But I'm back...well...kinda...in an effort to simplify my life, I'm going to now only be posting on 1 blog www.thedryerdiaries.com. Initially, I thought I would keep my fitness/mommy life separate, but I really don't see the point. So, join me, if you haven't already for Girl Talk & Fitness Motivation at The Dryer Diaries.
I might be biased as a proud size 12 who happens to rock a fro, but I'm loving this H&M ad! Not only is the suit amazing, but I am in love with the ad's simplicity and overall realness and beauty of the average, let me restate the Above Average/day to day woman.
I hope more companies take a hint and start marketing and showcases the beauty of women of of sizes, shapes, & colors to the larger market, errr no pun intended, well kind of.
It's been a minute and I need to do some updating on what's been going on with me. I'm enjoying my Adventures in Makeup Artistry. It seems like I've been getting a lot of new opportunities almost everyweek and growing my portfolio, which is awesome. So, I'm going to post a few shots from my recent shoots.
My Sis in law and I both have the privilege of staying home with stinky little boys during the day. With that said, anytime to submerge ourselves in some girl time, with or without the boys (as seen in the above pic), is definitely a treat!
Check out the simple make up look below using NYX Eye shadows & Lip Liner, CAO Blush, and MAC Foundation and Lip Gloss.
Note: I did one side of her face and she did the other to get the hang of it! :)
Here is my new Revlon Lipstick that I picked up at target this weekend. You like? I used it on a model this weekend and fell in love! I paired it with a "nude" face and winged liner. I love it so much that I think I'll be rocking dark lips this spring!

I was the lucky winner of a recent contest hosted by Just Jamie Scarves. My prize came very quickly and was wrapped very nicely (the picture below was my poor attempt at re wrapping because of course I just ripped into it when it arrived).
The scarf is such an awesome print and color that it is going to definitely add more umph to any outfit.
Check out how I styled it below:

As the snow melts on my lawn, I find myself combing fashion blogs and mags for the latest in trends for Spring 2012. Let's just say I haven't been disappointed yet! Color blocking is here to stay for a bit as seen in the collections above.
It's an easy trend that even those too timid to wear super bright colors can replicate with softer shades. So, I'm off to find a bright pair of skinnies and a nice bold top to match!
Here are a couple of bargain ways to replicate this bold look from Forever 21:
